The very first solar power pack was utilized in the Democratic Republic of the Congo by this company and its CEO Robert Workman in 2008. It was originally called GoBe. The goal was to assist villagers in receiving light and electricity to their homes to give them more accessibility. In 2009, Goal Zero launched fully with its mission of empowering everyone by giving them power. The company continues to develop more products today for third-world countries, campers, hikers and more to truly have power anywhere they go.
